When the item you select goes to another site, it will open another window, so you will still be here when you are finished with the link.

If you have any ideas for additional information or materials that should be included on this page, please email us and let us know your thoughts.

Selecting the right DaHo Threading Needle for your
Monofilament and Fluorocarbon Line

One of the most asked for reference materials are tables that shows the sizes of various monofilament and fluorocarbon lines. These tables do not show all brands or types of the lines available. We have gathered up all available lines that we could find size data for online. When we find other lines, we will add them to our tables upon request. Also, we are using the size specifications we found and they might not be completely accurate.

The line size tables we have created show each size of our DaHo Threading Needles color coded at the bottom of each page. Then, in the line brand and size table, each size of each brand of line is color coded to match the correct size of DaHo Threading Needle that you should select for that line. This may sound a little confusing, but once you see the tables, you will see how easy it is to identify the correct needle for each brand and size of monofilament and fluorocarbon line we could find. Please read the Guidelines and Recommendations, that are duplicated in the lower part of each page for additional information and clarification if needed.

Since computers have different table viewers, we have developed two different versions for you to use. Each of them has identical data. The two different versions will now be discussed.

The first and preferred way to view this data is with our PDF File Version. If you have an industry standard Adobe PDF viewer add-in installed in your web browser, you can select the line type (Monofilament or Fluorocarbon) page below and it will be displayed this window. You can scroll up and down to view all the available data, expand and reduce the size of the data for easier reading, save the page on your computer or print the page on your printer. On the PDF version, you will see a little menu appear in the center bottom of your screen. You can select many options there or select the little triangle character on the right end of the menu and it will display regular, and more understandable, menu bars on the top and left side of your screen. When you are done looking at the table, just hit the window back button in the upper left corner of your window to return back to the page you were viewing.

If you do not have a PDF viewer on your computer, but do have Microsoft Excel, you can select the Excel Version and can either bring the file into Excel on your computer, or download the Excel file for local viewing. This Excel spreadsheet has a page for each line type - Monofilament and Fluorocarbon. You can select the line type page in the lower left corner of the window. When you are done, just terminate the Excel window by clicking on the red X at the upper right of the window.Either option will provide the same data and will not only show the brands and sizes of the lines, but will also identify the correct size of DaHo threading needle that should be used for that line by the color codes that are shown below the line chart.
